Good Food For All Festival
On September 22nd, 2018, The Stop will rally its supporters for a rousing day of festivities in the name of good food and strong communities.
The Stop’s annual Good Food For All Festival is a free, family-friendly outdoor community event that draws attention to food-related social and economic issues. Now in its 12th year, the festival brings together over 500 community members of all ages—along with over a dozen local businesses and organizations.
The day will begin with a peaceful march to raise awareness of the critical role that food security plays in the heart of any community.
Following the march, attendees will gather to enjoy a delicious meal, dance to live music, join fun and immersive activities, and hear passionate speakers from The Stop community and from like-minded organizations and campaigns.
“The Stop’s Good Food For All Festival is a beloved event that unites our supporters from the Davenport West community and beyond,” says Rachel Gray, Executive Director of The Stop Community Food Centre. “It’s an important opportunity for us to come together in celebration and solidarity, and to demonstrate the warmth, inclusivity, and power of our community.”
Confirmed partners to date for the Good Food For All Festival include the City of Toronto’s Election Offices, $15 and Fairness, Real Food For Real Kids, Live Green Toronto, LEAF, New Moon Kitchen, Propeller Coffee, Concerned Kids, Not Far From The Tree, and Clover Roads Organics Farms.
