Food for Change
Every month, Chris Brown, Executive Chef at The Stop Community Food Centre and former Executive Chef of Perigee Restaurant, creates an intimate, five-course dining experience at The Stop’s Green Barn. There, diners enjoy some of the city’s best culinary concoctions and Ontario’s winningest wines in our sheltered garden or greenhouse spaces. Proceeds from each Food for Change meal help to fund The Stop’s innovative hunger-fighting programs.

Testimonials
'I attended The Stop’s dinner with my wife Beth and had the pleasure of sitting beside [sommelier] Jamie Drummond, who gave us a personal description of the wines we were served as well as other insights into local foods and wines. The food was fabulous, and the evening was unforgettable. We’ll
definitely come to another dinner.' – Bill Gentles, on his Food for Change dinner experience
'This dinner is like eating the virtuous circle of community food.' – Rebecca LeHeup
'What a marvelous, humbling and educational experience. It was hard work for sure, educational on many levels, with a built in sense of team work that I’ve rarely seen in business. You too can be rejuvenated by the experience while giving back to a good cause.' – Cindy Ross-Pederson on her time on the kitchen crew
